Dive Training and Indicative Costs + Dates

Typical dive training consists of the following:

1. Theoretical session which normally takes approximate 8 hours to complete.  This is obviously depending on the number of students and type of course being attended.

2. After successful completion of the theoretical component and mandatory test, practical training commences with approximately 4 to 5 swimming pool sessions to obtain a better understanding of the dive gear and basic underwater manoeuvres. In order to complete the practical lessons, a number of manoeuvres must be performed individually in order to complete this phase.

3. Dive qualification consists of 5 open water dives that must be completed before you will receive your 1* certification.  The 5 open water dives are normally performed at Basslake (Meyerton - South of Johannesburg).

Referral Incentive Program:

In order to promote the sport and in trying to limit costs associated with regards to advanced training, Delta Crucis offers a referral incentive to any newly qualified student/s who refers a new 1* candidate to the club for basic 1* training. In order to qualify for this, the new candidate must pay his / her deposit in full after which the referring party will receive a R200-00 discount towards training for his / her next course. Unfortunately no discount can be given on training material seeing that this is a fixed cost and discounts will only apply on training costs to a maximum value of R600-00.
